Four new sketches to end the year, and build upon this small collection of pieces that have been received so well. All of this work has been created from images capturing a June 25’ visit to both Arrowhead and Algonquin Provincial parks. The following 10 sketches are a direct result of the painting trip, some of which were both conceived and started on-site. I wanted these works to be completed faster, looser and feel more like sketches than small paintings. It’s been some time since I’ve worked on red oxide, but I think it feels well-suited for this collection.
